As clean as a whistle – the multifunctional star from HUMMEL
By: Heating and Sanitary Division
A lot of new radiator models are now supplied in series rather than in parallel.
The advantages of this technological development are obvious; however, the draining of these radiators is somewhat problematic as, unlike the older models, the heaters are not connected with each other. This means that the radiators can no longer be drained through the vent plugs. Instead, the whole system must be drained using a commercially available terminal block.
HUMMEL, a great innovator when it comes to heating connections, has come up with a solution in the form of a new drainable valve!
The ingenious shut-off system means that you can drain the radiator, the whole system or both at the same time. In addition, the foreflow and return flow pipes can be drained separately if you so wish. The procedure remains the same for the plumber.
If you use the right adapter, it is possible to even use hydraulic alignment to drain or fill the radiators. You can find details on the systems and equipment needed to do this in HUMMEL’s product range brochure.
The shapely, compact valve is manufactured to the high standards people have come to expect from HUMMEL and can be used in all conventional heating systems.
