HUMMEL HSK-K cable gland
HUMMEL HSK-K-cable glands (polyamide) are in use all over the world in many and varied applications. They are in use in all areas where high demands are made as regards fire prevention, sealing, strain relief and protection against skewing.
The HUMMEL HSK industry standard cable gland differs from the competitors' cable glands by the chambered fitting moulded seal which in this combination offers a stable seating for the gasket and hence excellent sealing around the cable. This ensures IP 68 up to 10 bar, or alternatively IP 69K.
Another component in this sealing system are the overlapping clamping segments. In addition, these prevent the moulded seal being pulled out during dismantling. Furthermore, the greater contact pressure exerted on the standard seal by the overlapping clamping segments reinforces the excellent sealing of HUMMEL's HSK Series. On the enclosure side, O ring cavities ensure optimum seating of the O ring. In order to prevent the gland nut coming loose on vibrating equipment, the gland nuts on HUMMEL cable glands are made of plastic and equipped with a patented vibration protection. The cable gland series has all the most important approval certificates from all over the world. Recently it has received approval as per French standards which are known to be the strictest standard for rail transport.
