In view of the increasing miniaturisation in electric motor technology, the TWINTUS by HUMMEL is setting new standards. It combines design and functionality in one enclosure, is exceedingly economical and offers even the smallest servomotors a plug-in solution.

With small external dimensions (21 mm high, 41 mm wide) and 20 mm or 25 mm mounting flange, TWINTUS stands out by its compact size and high power density. Just as in a modular system, 3 to 18-way inserts of the standard M16 connector series can be combined to carry power or transmit signals, and can also be colour-coded (e.g.: DESINA colours).

Mounting on the motor is done inside the TWINTUS, a gasket seal integrated into the flange ensures IP 67 protection or alternatively IP 69 K, even in the case of tapped holes in the motor housing.

Hybrid solutions are often exposed to mutual interference due to the proximity of signal and power components in the same enclosure. In the TWINTUS, optionally available shield sheets prevent this by separating the cavities of the contact inserts as far as the motor.

As mating connectors we have available freely wireable or insert moulded connectors. Besides the standard screw connectors, HUMMEL provides the "Single-Turn" connector, a special locking system that locks the connector with a single turn.
