Donations instead of present: For many years this has been the motto at the HUMMEL AG in Denzlingen. Holger Hummel, Managing Director, handed over a donation of 5,000 Euros to Helga Dilger, head of MAKS (Modellprojekt Arbeit mit Kindern von Suchtkranken), the model project that works with the children of addicts.
Donations instead of presents - is, this year, once again the HUMMEL AG's motto. At Christmas the company once again not given any presents to customers and, has instead, supported welfare facilities in the region. This year the HUMMEL AG donated 5,000 Euros to MAKS (Modellprojekt Arbeit mit Kindern von Suchtkranken), the model project in Freiburg that works with the children of addicts.
MAKS is an ambulatory facility that takes care of children and adolescents whose parents are addicted or have psychic problems. The facility offers help for the children affected and also for their parents. The offer ranges from group meetings and leisure activities up to individual support. For those affected this help is free of charge.
"With this donation we would like to support MAKS's tremendous dedication. What has been achieved here is gigantic", said Holger Hummel, Managing Director of the HUMMEL AG, while handing over the donation. Helga Dilger, the head of MAKS was delighted with the donation. "It is wonderful that our work is honoured in this way. Without such generous donations we couldn't maintain the offers for the children and adolescents affected."
The HUMMEL AG is a renowned manufacturer of connectors, cable glands and heating equipment. Worldwide the company has about 550 employees. Approximately 300 employees work at the locations in Denzlingen and Waldkirch.
