Christmas donation to Tafel and Child Protection Association

Handing over donations at the Denzlingen headquarters of HUMMEL AG: Chairman of the Board Michael Nörr (center) hands over this year's Christmas donation to Peter Dreßen from the Emmendingen & Waldkirch food bank and to Dr. Clemens Knoll from the Emmendingen Child Protection Association.

Donating instead of giving is a tradition at HUMMEL AG

Denzlingen. The Christmas donation of HUMMEL AG this year goes to the Emmendingen and Waldkirch food banks and to the Emmendingen Child Protection Association. Both organizations will receive 3000 Euro each from the company with headquarters in Denzlingen.

For many years now, HUMMEL AG has been foregoing gifts for customers and business partners at Christmas and instead donating to aid organizations in the region. "Donations instead of gifts - we would like to keep this tradition in the future," emphasizes Michael Nörr, who has been CEO of HUMMEL AG since July 2021. "With the Tafel and the Kinderschutzbund, we are supporting two organizations that have been doing a great job for a long time and continuously, and are putting a lot of effort into ensuring this important offer of help in Corona times," explains Michael Nörr.

The chairman of the Tafel Emmendingen, Peter Dreßen, expresses his thanks for the donation and reports on the current challenges. He says that the Tafel is dependent on voluntary commitment and that in this pandemic situation many helpers have become cautious and have partly withdrawn. "So we are glad for every helping hand. Volunteers are very welcome here," Peter Dreßen sums up.

Dr. Clemens Knoll, Chairman of the Kinderschutzbund Emmendingen, reports similar challenges: "We, too, rely on voluntary commitment and are happy to have more helpers." With the HUMMEL donation, the Kinderschutzbund also already has very concrete plans. "In the coming year, our supervised play group will move out of the container into new rooms. With this donation, we will invest in the interior furnishings," says Clemens Knoll.

Every year, HUMMEL AG honors social, educational and charitable initiatives in the region with its traditional Christmas donation. HUMMEL AG is a renowned manufacturer of cable glands, connectors and accessories for heating and drinking water systems. The company employs around 600 people worldwide. More than 350 employees work at the Denzlingen and Waldkirch sites.
