Denzlingen. Michael Nörr will become the new CEO of HUMMEL AG in Denzlingen as of 01.07.21. The graduate materials scientist has already been successfully working for HUMMEL AG as Chief Operations Officer since 2017. He takes over from Managing Partner Holger Hummel, who will move to the Supervisory Board of HUMMEL AG.
Together with Volker Höchel, the Group's CFO of many years, Michael Nörr forms a proven and well-rehearsed team. Michael Nörr is looking forward to his new task and considers HUMMEL AG to be well prepared for the future. "From my previous experience, I can say that HUMMEL AG and the experienced staff have a lot to offer. Our customers from industry and trade appreciate the mix of product and technical expertise as well as the implementation competence due to our high vertical range of manufacture and our partner network," says Nörr about the company with production sites in Denzlingen and Waldkirch. For many customers, this mix is very attractive, both for cooperation in the area of standard products and in project business. The market situation is very attractive, he said, with many technological changes currently in the making. "This is exactly where I can and would like to contribute my experience, support HUMMEL AG in its further development and derive new solutions for customers," Michael Nörr explains.
In the future, Holger Hummel will continue to participate in the strategic development of the company as Chairman of the Supervisory Board and thus remain strongly involved. "I am looking forward to my new task as a member of the Supervisory Board of this body and to our future cooperation," reports Holger Hummel. He adds that the company is optimistic about the future and has come through the Corona crisis well so far. On the Supervisory Board, Holger Hummel succeeds long-time Chairman Bernd Reick, who now wishes to devote himself to his retirement planning at his own request. "I would like to express my sincere thanks to Bernd Reick for providing our company with advice and support for 13 years," says Holger Hummel, referring to the achievements of his predecessor. The personnel changes will not affect the shareholder structure.
