There is great joy at Cruschwitz Haustechnik in Oedheim. Wolfgang Cruschwitz is the winner of the HUMMEL competition and is now looking forward to a weekend at the Europapark Rust. The competition at the ISH trade fair in Nuremberg involved tightening a compression fitting as precisely as possible to 40 Nm. Several hundred participants tried their hand at the task. Those who got particularly close to the target ended up in the lottery pot.
It was mainly craftsmen who felt called upon to assemble the compression fitting exactly. Open-end spanners and pipe spanners were available as tools. After the successful attempt, the torque was measured with an electronic torque spanner.
In this way, many craftsmen have directly experienced the advantages of HUMMEL compression fittings. Attach, tighten, done - a clean affair. No special tools are necessary and it is space-saving. This is particularly important in cramped installation conditions. Another advantage: HUMMEL compression fittings can be used in heating systems as well as in drinking water systems.
