The ‘M16-HC’ connector from HUMMEL AG is the solution when there is a lack of space and high current requirements. It reliably transmits currents up to 25 A. Compared to standard M16 variants, this means an increase of 50 percent. This makes it comparable in terms of performance to larger M23 connectors, but it requires less than half the installation space.
The trend towards miniaturisation in automation continues. This affects all connection components, including plug connectors. The biggest challenge is to achieve the same performance in an ever smaller space.
The new ‘M16-HC’ connector is ideal for such applications, for example in robotics and in the drive of automated guided vehicles. Here it replaces the larger M23 variants and impresses as a device variant with its low overall height.
